Let’s be honest, packing for a vacation is a pain. It’s even worse when you’re packing for the whole family. What can you do to make it easier? Here are some simple tips that will make a difference.

    • Write a list of everything you want to pack.
    • Start looking out items at least 3 days before traveling.
    • Place non-essential items in a separate pile and only pack them if you have space left.
    • Consider using packing cubes.
    • Pack all liquids, creams, etc in sealable plastic bags.
    • Don’t pack one suitcase per person. Spread the contents across all suitcases in case one bag goes missing.
    • Pack a change of clothes in your hand baggage.
    • Pack smart and use all available space. For example, stuff socks into trainers or roll your t-shirts.
    • Pack emergency snacks in your hand luggage to eat if there is a delay.

  • Don’t overfill a suitcase as the zip might burst on your journey.
  • Don’t use a bigger bag than you need. In many countries, a large case won’t fit in the trunk of a taxi.
