Holiday DIY Crafts

It may seem impossible to find time to decorate your home for the holidays while juggling work and family obligations. You may believe that scrambling to purchase a few decorations at your local retailer is your only option, but this is not the case. Making time for a crafting session with your family is a wonderful way to create memories while also making your home more festive for the holidays. Plus, because most of these crafts may be used as attractive Christmas decorations or gifts, you’ll be able to complete them while completing other responsibilities. Make yourself at home and begin working on your project!

1. Honeycomb Trees Made of Paper

This Lia Griffith DIY is a must-try for anyone who enjoys paper honeycomb decorations. For a luminous spectacle, surround them with fairy lights and spray paint them white at the top to give them a frosted appearance.

2. Coasters with Punch Needles

For a warm cup of hot cocoa or coffee, these coasters are like mini rugs. What’s the best part? With this punch needle kit from Hoop Atelier on Etsy, you can build them in no time. A Christmas tree, gingerbread man, reindeer, snowflake, or wreath can be used to construct anywhere from one to eight coasters.

3. Wreath made out of gold-colored paper ferns

This wreath appears to be solid gold, but it is comprised of metallic gold paper, wire, and a grapevine wreath. Lia Griffith can provide you with all of the necessary instructions.

4. Sequin Ornaments are a type of ornament made of sequins.

This year, add a few sequin ornaments to your tree to make it sparkle even more. This kit from Royal Sequins on Etsy includes a 2-inch Styrofoam ball, pins, beads, two sizes of sequins, and ribbon. Be aware that it does not come with instructions, however, you may find tutorials on the brand’s Instagram.

5. Tree of Wine Corks

Consider using a few wine corks to make a little wine cork Christmas tree if you like to put them in a bowl or other beautiful display. Pom poms serve as ornaments, and a wooden star completes the look.

6. Christmas Tree Lights in a Variety of Colors

Even though they are only made of paper, these string lights brighten up an entire space. They’re colorful, enjoyable to make, and don’t cause any fire hazards. Studio DIY has a tutorial.
